- Dave,
-
- MacApp 2.0 is currently System 7.0 friendly. When I use that term, I mean that
- they "get along with each other." It does not mean that MacApp 2.0 takes
- advantage ot 7.0 features (actually, there are two places in MacApp where it
- checks for the presence of 7.0, but I don't think that they qualify for the
- type of 7.0 support you are asking about).
-
- Steve Friedrich announced at the Conference that we would be releasing interim
- versions of MacApp 2.1 when interim versions of System 7.0 are released to
- developers. He also said that MacApp 2.1 final will be released in a timely
- manner soon after the final release of 7.0. The two releases cannot be
- coincident because we want to make sure that proper testing is done on 2.1
- after 7.0 is final.
-
- Please keep in mind that this off-the-cuff schedule is still tentative. I
- don't expect any problems with getting 2.1 out the door, but considering our
- track record with 2.0, I'd try to keep an open mind.
